beginning in May.

UPCOMING EVENTS
September 5th, 6th 7th 2009 - Annual trail rides and camp out @ the
Old Rodeo Grounds east of Fayette or
west of Wadena.
May set up camp anytime on Saturday after 9 am. Trail ride on Saturday
afternoon @ 3 PM. September Club meeting @ 6 PM with wiener roast and
finger foods after
the meeting. Hay ride, socializing and so' Mores around the
campfire after the hay ride.
Same directions and rules as for the Memorial Day and July 4th camp out
and trail rides.
Sunday--the 6th--trail ride @ 1 PM with finger foods after the
ride. Must break camp by 10 am
on Monday. If you still want to ride - Volga Lake is
only about 5 miles north of the Old Rodeo
Grounds. Everyone is welcome to join us---whether they ride
horses or not. There is the Volga
River to play or fish
in, Grannis Creek to fish in, trails to walk or ride bikes,
or just sit in the shade
and enjoy a good book and have a good time with friends. No
motorized vehicles allowed on
the trails @ the Old Rodeo Grounds. For more info---please

September 13th, 2009 - Trail ride @ Gilbertsons @ 1 PM from the
Petting Zoo. Camping is available for anyone
wanting to camp-out on Saturday. Contact the Gilbertsons
Nature Center to have the gate
unlocked for you
when you want to camp. Ride @ 1 PM - Sunday with
fingerfoods after the ride.
September 20th, 2009 - Annual Wadena Days---Parade @ 2:30---unload
horses @ the north end of Wadena near
the county shop. Roy will
take anyone interested on a trail ride after the parade. For
any

563-767-2485. Great roast beef dinner with all the
fixings will
be served family style from 11 am
until 1 PM @ the Legion Hall and fire station.
September 27th, 2009 - Annual trail ride @ Gary & Carol Gibbs @
7304 Harding Road---east of West Union or west
of Clermont. Harding Road is HWY 18. Watch for the trail ride sign. Trail ride @ 1
PM with finger
foods after the ride. For any

October 3rd, 2009 - Regular monthly meeting @ Wadena City Park @
7:30 PM. If inclement weather the meeting
will be held @ the Wadena Legion
Hall.
October 4th, 2009 - 52nd Annual Invitational Fall Ride. Parking @
Steve & Kathy Corkery's Farm--south and west of
Wadena. Watch for the trail ride
sign. Potluck lunch @ 11 am and the trail ride will start @ 12
noon
SHARP. Please be saddled up and
ready to leave by 12 noon SHARP! Late comers will be
directed
to a catch-up point and will not be
allowed to hold up the rest of the riders nor start out on their
own!

October 11th, 2009 - Annual Whistlin Bit Trail Ride. For questions

October 18th, 2009 - Annual trail ride and wagon ride @ Ray &
Judy Luck's south of Independence on Michael Avenue.
Take
the Quasequeton Diagonal south out of Independence and Michael Avenue
will be the first
gravel to the right after you go over the bridge over HWY 20. For
any questions about camping-please
call Ray & Judy @ 319-334-4173.
In the past---Ray & Judy have always put on the most
wonderful
breakfast with biscuits/gravy and all
the fixin's. PLEASE bring potluck breakfast items to go with
their
breakfast bar. Ride will start @ 1
PM with finger foods after the ride. Ray & Judy along with
Tim Dorsey
and their neighbors work at this ride
and drive through out the year to make new trails for your
riding/driving
pleasure and we are THANKFUL to them for this.
October 25th, 2009 - Trail ride @ Palo with Tim & Abbie Clark
and Angel. Trail ride will start @ 1 PM with finger foods
after the ride. For any questions--please call Tim or Abbie

November 8th, 2009 - Regular monthly meeting @ the Wadena Legion
Hall @ 1:30 PM-Sunday afternoon with
fingerfoods and
socializing after the meeting. Will try to have a speaker or entertainment for
the
afternoon.

November 14th, 2009 - Annual Landowners Appreciation Soup Supper
with serving to start @ 5 PM. Accepting
donations and would like the Club members to furnish bars/cookies for
the supper. This is the
riders'
opportunity to THANK the landowners in person for their generosity in
allowing us to
have a good time throughout the year
with our family and friends. The Supper will be held @ the
Wadena Legion Hall. If anyone has
ideas for entertainment--please let Darlene know.
For the month of November and it all depending on the weather --
rides will be "thrown" together as riders would like.
December 6th, 2009 - Regular monthly meeting and Annual Christmas
party @ the Wadena Legion Hall on Sunday
afternoon @ 1:30 PM. Following the
meeting we will have a visit from Santa and fingerfoods and
socializing. If anyone has any
ideas for Christmas related games, etc. please let one of the
officers
know.
January 3rd, 2010 - Annual Meeting and Election of Officers for the
year 2010. Meeting will start @ 1:30 PM on
Sunday afternoon @ the Wadena Legion
Hall. Finger foods will follow the meeting and election
of officers. Will try to
have a speaker come in. Any ideas==please let one of the officers
know.
